Five Star Equity Partners, LLC. was created by five individuals out of Chauncey Place, New York. They had a vision: to bring exceptional customer service and innovating new ideas to the culinary industry. In choosing to become franchisees of Bruegger's, they have paired that service with an excellent product. Bruegger's features award winning bagels, healthy menu selections, and a great variety of other delectable products, not to mention great brand recognition.

Leadership Biography:

David Katz

A graduate from the Center for Culinary Arts of Cromwell, Connecticut, Katz has had a successful career in the culinary industry. He started his career as a chef for many fine dining establishments, eventually transcending into management for various restaurant concepts. In the summer of 2006, Katz assumed the position of General Manager for Bruegger's New Haven location. When the company opened their Wallingford store, Katz was appointed General Manager, where he served until March of 2008. Currently, Katz is the Operating Principal for Five Star Equity Partners, who own and operate the Orange Bruegger's location. With two more stores on the way, Katz will oversee and manage their development and operation.
